Film Producer/Writer/Director Marcus G. Golden (aka Mark G. Gilhuis) is heading the Issa’s Gift  movie production, bringing thirty-six years of film experience to the project.  From his start at age nineteen as a film editor in Toronto, Canada, he worked his way to ultimately producing and directing his first feature length film at age thirty-four, in San Diego, California.

After his feature film Bloody Wednesday was theatrically released, Mr. Golden spent the next 15 years writing and developing numerous motion picture projects, several of which are currently part of a multi-picture production deal. A highlight of this period was the sale of his original screenplay (penned under Gilhuis), Night Train to Moscow, which sold to a producer for the highest fee ever paid for a Canadian spec screenplay at that time.

Prior to moving to Sedona, Mr. Golden worked and co-wrote for over nine years with Mr. Phillip Yordan, one of Hollywood’s most noted film producers, and the recipient of the Academy Award for Screenwriting.

In 2008, Mr. Golden formed ImagiFlix Studios in Sedona, Arizona with his partner, artist and businesswoman, Aalia Kazan.  ImagiFlix Studios is an independent film company with a production facility, corporate offices and a full digital post-production suite.  The studio will bring co-producers to their projects from top Hollywood studios to cover above the line costs.

With his thirty-six years in the motion picture industry, contacts at the highest echelons of the film business, and as the Co-Founder of ImagiFlix Studios, Mr. Golden is well qualified to deliver a highly successful motion picture yielding potentially unlimited profits to the investors.

Aalia Kazan was born and raised in Hollywood, California, and has been in love with movies for as long as she can remember. As a youth, Aalia studied the performing arts, and won awards for her fine art and creative writing. After high school, Ms. Kazan attended the University of Southern California, majoring first in music composition and later transferring to the School of Business, where she graduated with a B.S. degree from the Entrepreneur Program.

Upon graduation, Ms. Kazan was inspired to put her love for the arts and her business acumen together and planned to open a fine art gallery. She worked for several art galleries to learn the business, then opened her first art gallery in Venice, CA.

From her gallery experience, Ms. Kazan transitioned into helping independent musicians and writers produce their projects. Aalia assisted with their business plans, graphic design, marketing, sales and distribution for their music CD’s and books. After several years of producing other artists’ work, she began creating her own art again. A chance encounter with a hand-dyed silk painting kit led Aalia to start a business manufacturing hand-dyed silk clothing and accessories. Over the years, she grew the business into a retail & wholesale line of women’s contemporary dresses and men’s silk formal wear accessories.

Ms. Kazan met Marcus Golden and spent the next few years working toward producing a feature film while operating two fine art galleries in Sedona.  By 2008, Golden and Kazan were ready to launch Imagiflix Studios and opened their corporate offices, sound stage and post production facility in the former VistaMax movie theater in Sedona.

Ms. Kazan is a co-Founder of ImagiFlix Studios, and is an associate producer on the “Issa’s Gift” motion picture.
